NEXT
Think Tank Organization

This was a fourth year project as a part of the Steelcase student competition designing an office space for the start-up think tank organization, NEXT. The overlapping shapes featured in the floor and ceiling plans as well as in the furniture and fixtures throughout represent the overlapping functions of each of the contributing professions within this think tank organization. Research was conducted in order to provide a knowledgeable and practical design solution for each of these varying professions as well as spaces for them to touch down and collaborate with one another and the community. Revit and AutoCad were utilized for this project.
Samsung Galaxy S4
Kiosk

This was a fourth year group project designing a kiosk for the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the Coex mall in Seoul, South Korea. Research about the area was conducted through interviews with Korean students via Skype. The goal of the Kiosk, to both market and sell products, is achieved through a sleek, easily maneuverable design that invites passersby to explore and learn. Inside, organic forms with contrasting blue, white and metal details harmonize with the Samsung brand. Hand sketching, 3Ds Max, AutoCad, SketchUp, and inDesign were utilized for this project.

Hospitality
Restaurant & Hotel

This was a third year group hospitality project designing and branding a two-story restaurant and hotel in the revitalized downtown district of Manhattan, Kansas. The organic forms featured in the space emulate feelings of comfort found in nature and organic foods and materials. As a team member, I helped with the programming, schematic, and design process, as well as creating a complete set of construction documents. AutoCad, 3Ds Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, and freehand techniques were utilized for this project.

Vespa Showroom
American Office

This was a second year project designing an office space for Vespa scooters. The concept revolved around combining the main architectural elements of the space with the fluid forms for which Vespa scooters are known. The program included a gallery and reception area, two work rooms, a break room, a copy room, private offices, and an open work area. AutoCad, 3Ds Max, and Photoshop were utilized for this project.

Dual Practice
Pediatrics Clinic

This was a second year project designing a pediatrics center that would accomodate two children physicians, receptionists, and nurses. The clinic needed to be comfortable for everyone from young children to teenagers. Designed with its Rocky Mountain location in mind, the overlapping geometric architectural elements were softened by the soft, organic furniture and finish selections. Sketching and freehand techniques were utilized for this project.
